Basic Needs
An economic change in anyone’s life can throw everything out of balance. We see people from all walks of life who have been set back by loss of a job or a reduction in income, an increase in expenses, or an unexpected illness, among other things. Many individuals and families need temporary help in order to return to self-sufficiency. We are here to help during these difficult times.
The Licking County Department of Job and Family Services offers programs which can help you with cash, food and medical coverage. You may be eligible for one or more of these programs even if you have some income. A family with children under age 19 may be eligible for any of the three types of assistance. An adult without children may be eligible for Food Assistance or, if you are at least 65 years old or disabled, for medical coverage. All of these programs are designed to help you to keep a roof over your head, put nutritious food on your table and stay healthy. Click on any of the program links below to find out more about that program and how to apply. Our agency is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Click to find out more about Cash Assistance, Medical for Families,Food Assistance, and Disability Services. |
