General program description

Medicaid is a state and federally funded healthcare program that provides assistance to certain low-income and medically vulnerable people. Ohio’s Medicaid program provides a wide array of medical benefits, including doctor visits, prescriptions, nursing home benefits and 24-hour in-home services.

Medicaid for Aged, Blind, and Disabled offers coverage to Ohioans who are 65 years of age and older, and Ohioans who are blind or disabled at any age. If you have not been determined disabled by the Social Security Administration we can help you gather medical documents to get a determination.

People who are eligible for Medicaid may also be eligible for transportation assistance to and from medical appointments.

If you are on Medicare you may be eligible to have your monthly premium paid by the State of Ohio.
