Healthcare Coordination/Pregnancy Related Services (PRS)
Every pregnancy is different and requires early and special care. The PRS program can link Medicaid eligible pregnant women with local obstetricians, physicians, and prenatal clinics and also provide transportation assistance (gas cards or Licking County Transit) when needed to get to and from dr.’s appointments.
Licking County JFS is also responsible to inspect and license in-home child care providers in Licking County, while the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licenses and inspects out of home day care providers. Health Care Coordination/Healthchek
Healthchek is a preventive health care program for newborns, children, and teens. Children and teens participating in the Healthchek program may receive free physical exams as well as dental, vision, and hearing services. The Healthchek coordinator assists families ensure that children receive necessary health checkups and preventative services, including immunizations. The coordinator will also assist families to ensure children and teens also receive the preventative services, checks ups, and medical services they need to remain healthy.

LCDJFS can assist families by providing doctor and dentist referrals, strategies for scheduling appointments, and transportation assistance. If interested in learning more about Healthchek, contact Linda at 740.670.8824.

Pregnancy Related Services and Healthchek are available to all pregnant women and children under the age of 21 who receive Medicaid
